4 Most Expensive Homes In The World
Ever sat back and wondered what you would do if you had millions in your bank account? I’m sure one of those things would be to buy yourself a fancy new house, right?
Well, we’re going to list some of the world’s most expensive houses. You’ll need hundreds of millions to buy one of these!
Henley Mansion
Henley Mansions in Berkshire, England is now owned by a Russian billionaire who has paid a staggering £140million for Britain’s priciest home.
Park Place, close to Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, was once the home of George II’s eldest son and was also where the 2007 re-make of St. Trinian’s was filmed. Now though, it comes fully loaded with a spa complex, a helipad, home cinema and a high-tech security system. Presumably to help keep the owner’s identity a secret.
The building was sold by Knight Frank and Savills estate agents. They were apparently so surprised by the amount they managed to rack up for the property that they phoned up their head office to make sure the decimal point was in the right place.

Built in 1916 by retail mogul Frank Woolworth for his daughter, it has recently come off the market after being listed as for sale for a staggering $90million (£56million).
If it has been taken off the market because it’s been sold then it will have broken the record for the most expensive townhouse ever sold.
Recently it was also on the rental market for a staggering $150,000 a month; surprisingly there were no takers. It can hardly be called student accommodation.

Straight to the point with the name of this home. Owned by Joel Horowitz who is also the co-founder of Tommy Hilfiger, he built it from scratch and it is set on 210-acres!
The house is a very Northern European mountain style and where it is based, Lake Tahoe, Nevada is a very fitting place. It comes complete with a number of features, for example, one of the things you would find in the house if you were to ever venture in there is a 3,500 bottle wine cellar. Oh, and a 19 seat cinema.
The house was initially listed as for sale at a staggering $100million which made it one of the priciest houses for sale in the US but in order to attract more potential buyers, Mr Horowitz has dropped the price by 25% so now you’d only need to find $75million. If it helps, it comes fully furnished?

Hala Ranch, Aspen, Colorado. This is a 95-acre estate and it was built in 1991 for the family of Prince Bandar bin Sultan who was the former ambassador to the U.S. from Saudi Arabia.
It was previously valued at a staggering $135million (£90,823,410 – almost £91million) in 2006 but more recently it changed hands for just $49million. The buyer of the property was hedge fund billionaire, John Paulson.
