UPVC Doors

Traditionally, residential doors would be built using timber, until unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) became the favoured material for door fabrication in the 1990’s.

It was a very welcome shift as UPVC is relatively inexpensive to use, offers outstanding thermal efficiency and needs the bare minimum of maintenance. The lifespan of UPVC also far exceeds timber and it can come supplied in an eclectic choice of finishes to help match the door to your home surroundings.

Composite Doors

You can’t help but love the look of timber; it’s just the tiresome maintenance that puts people off. The woodgrain effect that you see in most wooden doors is imitated in a composite door, a door that amalgamates several resilient materials into one design to replicate the stylish façade of a timber door.

Like a UPVC door, a composite door doesn’t need any future upkeep, it is however much thicker than most door solutions. This density makes it incredibly difficult to force a composite door open when locked. You can also have a composite door finished in pretty much any colour you can think of.

Aluminium Doors

You would never have thought that a material as durable as aluminium could be so effortlessly sculpted to create the extremely elegant aluminium doors that we see today.

Aluminium has an unbeatable toughness and yet can still offer amazingly slender sightlines, allowing a high volume of glazing to be incorporated into the door frame. A special powder-coating process is adhered to when applying the finish to an aluminium door and helps to ensure that the colour never deteriorates, nor will the overall performance of the door.
