ULTRAROOF CONSERVATORY
Breaking from the norm, this traditionally styled Victorian conservatory features the Ultraroof, the world’s newest conservatory roof.
The Victorian conservatory remains one of the UK’s most popular conservatory styles and has a very distinctive design. We altered the design ever so slightly to incorporate the Ultraroof, a lightweight roofing system containing glazed panels. For this job, two glass sections were used on the respective slopes of the roof covering and help to brighten the interior throughout the daytime. Natural light also surges through the facets, but there also spotlights in position should light quality indoors be compromised by the weather.
This style of conservatory suited the way the property is configured and integrated perfectly into the house. Fully aware that the Ultraroof would assure them of sustained insulation, the occupants loved the idea of having a fire in the heart of the design so that they can feel extra cosy indoors during winter. It took a lot of hard work to get this extraordinary fireplace up and running, but we managed it. The positioning of the flue needed to be exact and it protrudes through the Ultraroof expertly to enable any noxious gases to escape away from the structure. You can see how pleased this stunning conservatory has made the lady of the house who finds herself in there at every opportunity she gets.
